Fire risk & detection

Identify fire risks before they matter.

We help homeowners, landlords, property managers and housing associations identify fire risks and put effective safety measures in place that comply with UK fire safety regulations.

Our specialists assess fire hazards, escape routes, detection systems and emergency procedures, then give you practical recommendations to reduce risk.

Our fire safety services include

  • Fire risk assessments
  • Smoke and heat alarm inspections
  • Fire door inspections
  • Emergency escape route assessments
  • Fire safety compliance advice
  • Fire extinguisher installation and servicing
  • Landlord fire safety inspections
  • Fire safety training and guidance

Escape routes

Emergency lighting and fire doors.

When the power fails, emergency lighting keeps escape routes visible. When fire breaks out, a correctly fitted fire door holds it back. We test, inspect and certify both — with clear reports on anything that needs attention.

  • Emergency lighting certificates
  • Fire door certification
  • Fire alarm panel certification
  • Extinguisher testing and servicing

FAQs

Fire safety questions.

The “responsible person” for any workplace, commercial premises or the common parts of multi-occupied residential buildings (such as blocks of flats and HMOs) must make sure a suitable fire risk assessment is in place.

Yes. Since October 2023 the responsible person must record the full fire risk assessment in writing, regardless of the size of the business.

Systems should be tested regularly by the responsible person and professionally serviced and certified periodically. We will advise the right schedule for your building.
