What is CP 12 Gas Safety?
A CP12 Gas Safety Certificate, also known as a Landlord Gas Safety Certificate, is a legal requirement for rental properties in the UK. It confirms that all gas appliances, pipework, and flues have been inspected by a Gas Safe registered engineer and are safe to use. During the check, our engineers will: Inspect appliances like boilers, cookers, and gas fires. Test for gas leaks and check ventilation. Ensure flues are working correctly and test gas pressure. Once completed, you’ll receive a CP12 certificate, which must be renewed every 12 months. Landlords are legally required to provide a copy to tenants within 28 days.
